Chennai....

At last I saw Chennai... I have been a Chennizen for the past 3 years. Though my home town is Chennai, I had been moving around to many places, and for the past 3 years, I was here, and most probably going forward, will continue here.
Please do not get surprised, when I say that, I am seeing Chennai at last, even after being here for 3 years. It is almost the same case with everyone in the city.
The Chennai Corporation's order to remove all the big and illegal billboards and hoardings did the trick. The city is very different now. At some places, people are able to see the blue sky now only. Some hoardings were so huge, that it looked like they were painted on the sky.
But now, only the steel frames remain. The city looks different. For a change, many buildings can be seen.
Though the ads in the billboard were eye catchy with some of them being too good, still the removal of them is also a welcome thing.

Heyyy.. surprisingly I've also posted something on bill boards in my blog...but showing their positive side.I felt these advert hoardings were good to see while you are stranded in the traffic for a very long time...may be this does not fit into the Chennai scenario.I think the bill boards in Bangalore are much smaller than the Chennai ones!!:)
